Hi everyone, I’m terribly sorry and I apologise in advance, but here’s what happened. I have just noticed that Disqus has suddenly imposed mandatory ads, which is in and of itself fine, they are a company and they claim they need the ads.
But the ads that they choose to show I find are very clickbait-y and spammy, which goes against my principles. I have no say in what gets displayed, so I have chosen to turn it off.
Technically none of the previous comments are deleted and things will pop back if I choose to turn Disqus back on. But let’s try wordpress’ comments for a while ~
