ANJING

a little comic, about a small dog on a long walk

Chapter 5-7

Did you know before light bulbs, long before gas lights (1790 ad), candles (3000 bc), and oil lamps (5000 bc), we used hollow rocks, shells, and hardwood stumps filled with moss or other flammable materials, soaked it in animal fats and lighted it ?

Well ok, not that far but let’s say oil lamps are still in fashion. Candles for what its worth, felt like a lot of events have to fall in place for them to be invented. A simple wicked oil lamp can last as long as a candle does. For reference, 15 ml of liquid paraffin can produce light for about an hour. An average can of coke has about 325 ml of liquid.

ABOUT

Anjing follows the journey of a dog, in a world governed by dreams and fancies, where valleys are paved with scattered folklores, and mountains whisper of forgotten tales.

SUPPORT

For the most part, Anjing runs on the love for creating stories. There are no ads and all its expenses are carried by me, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t accept a bit of help. I have a patreon if you’d like to help keep the lights on, and a ko-fi for those who stayed a while and would like to say thanks for the ride ~
